Charles Wenham – Managing Director has been working in the surfacing industry for 40 years.  Starting his career with Val de Travis, he then went on to spend 17 years working for major surfacing contractors including Tilcon and Redland Aggregates, before starting
C W Surfacing in 1987.

Luke Wenham
Having started as a trainee, Luke has worked his way through the company following a training programme which started with laying out the boards through to becoming a foreman.

Luke now supervises major works for national contractors, and is a Director of
CW Surfacing.

The Team

Many of the employees who were with the company on the first day are still working with us today.

Our Foremen and Operatives are amongst the most skilled in the industry.  All staff are fully employed and are long term. 

All employees are fully qualified and hold a level 2 NVQ or above in Construction and Civil Engineering Services (Road building). All training is ongoing.

Plant operators hold either a Construction Plant Competency Scheme accreditation or an industry recognised EPIC qualification.

All employees have passed the Health and Safety touch screen test relevant to their occupation i.e. Manager/Supervisor/Operative.  Regular courses are attended by all employees to ensure they are kept abreast of the most current legislation.
